Bluebells and retail therapy

Just June Tours from Shepperton in Surrey treated customers to a two-day visit to the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley on one of the sunniest weekends in April 2017. The warm spring weather provided a very early profusion of bluebells and wild garlic, even before all the daffodils had died off.

Passengers saw the jewels in the crown of the area — Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat — and were able to stop at one of the Forest’s best sites for local retail therapy (and cake!), Taurus Crafts.

To top it off, they took a ride on the Dean Forest Railway, a heritage line run by enthusiasts, which goes from Lydney to Parkend.
